Shrimply Divine Recipe

 

This recipe is really easy but quite delicious! The dry dressing mix is used as seasoning and makes a big difference. I usually buy the small precooked shrimp in the seafood counter for this recipe. You can use what ever is cheapest since you are chopping the shrimp anyway . I do not recommend canned shrimp as the flavor is not as good. I use a hand mixer to mix the cream cheese mixture and then add in the shrimp with a spoon.

8-ounce package cream cheese

cup sour cream

packages Good Season’s Italian Dressing Mix (dry)

cup minced shrimp (fresh is a must!)

 

Let cream cheese soften.  Prepare shrimp (peel, devein and cook) or buy precooked, peeled, and deveined shrimp.  Drain well and chop.  Combine cream cheese, sour cream and salad dressing powder.  Beat until well mixed.  Stir in minced shrimp.  It’s best to refrigerate the dip for 2 hours before serving.  This dip is excellent with carrots, broccoli and celery, in addition to crackers.
