Mini Cinnamon Rolls

 

These cinnamon rolls are very easy to make and are a favorite of most children.  I often make them on Christmas morning for an added treat!

8-ounce can refrigerated crescent rolls

cup softened butter or margarine
4
teaspoons sugar

teaspoons cinnamon
1
cup powdered sugar
2
tablespoons milk or apple juice
1/2
cup raisins (optional)

 

 

Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles and firmly press perforations to seal forming a rectangle.  Spread with butter or margarine.  Combine 4 teaspoon sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over rectangles.  Top with 1/2 cup raisins, if desired.

 

Starting at shorter side, roll up each rectangle.  Cut each roll into 5 slices, forming 20 rolls, and place cut side down in ungreased 8 or 9 inch square pan.  Bake at 375° 17 to 23 minutes until golden brown.  In small bowl, combine powdered sugar and milk or apple juice and drizzle over warm rolls. 

 

Makes 20 small rolls.
