Easy Sourdough Garlic Bread

 

This recipe makes a good, easy garlic bread.  Be sure to watch it carefully if broiling, as it can burn faster than you would think.

long loaf sourdough bread, unsliced
1/2
cup butter, softened
2
cloves garlic, minced or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4
cup grated Parmesan cheese, freshly grated if possible
1/2
teaspoon dried basil or oregano

 

 

Mix butter, garlic, cheese and basil or oregano.  Slice loaf horizontally.  Spread butter mixture on open face.  Broil until golden brown or place in 350 to 425° oven and bake until brown to your liking.
