Chocolate Fondue


cup heavy whipping cream
ounces bittersweet chocolate, broken into small pieces
tablespoons of flavored liqueur (Amaretto, Chambord, Grand Marnier)



In fondue pot, heat cream and chocolate in microwave on medium for one to three minutes, whisking every 30 seconds until chocolate is melted.  Add the liqueur and whisk until smooth.  Wipe rim and serve hot on the warming stand with pound cake, Viennese fingers, fresh strawberries, fresh pineapple, and dried apricots. 


Makes about 1-1/2 cups.
