Barbecue Beef

4 to 5 pound round bone roast
1
stalk of celery, leaves and all

medium onions, chopped
3/4
cup Worcestershire sauce
3
tablespoons sugar
1
16 ounce can stewed tomatoes

 

 

Brown meat in Dutch oven.  Add remaining ingredients and simmer at low on top of stove, covered for 4 to 5 hours, until meat falls apart.

 

Drain excess juice, but don't drain dry.  Save drained juice in case it becomes too dry.  Discard bones and fat.  Shred meat.  Return meat to pan.

 

Add     3/4       cup barbecue sauce.

 

Simmer 30 minutes.  Serve on hot hamburger buns.
