Shish Kabobs

pounds sirloin or New York steak, cut into 1-1/2 inch cubes

onion

green pepper

zucchini

pound mushrooms, whole

cup vegetable oil
1/2
cup vinegar
1/2
cup chopped onion or 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

teaspoons salt
4
teaspoons Worcestershire sauce or steak sauce

teaspoons coarsely ground pepper

 

 

In large measuring cup, combine oil, vinegar, chopped onion, salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.  Add meat to 1/2 of the marinade and stir to coat.  Refrigerate overnight or for several hours, turning meat occasionally.  Cut onion and green pepper into large chunks, approximately the same size as meat cubes.  Cut zucchini into slices.  Marinate green peppers, mushrooms and zucchini in remaining marinade.

 

Thread beef, onion, green pepper, zucchini and mushrooms on skewer.  Broil or grill on charcoal grill, basting with marinade, until meat is cooked, approximately 15 minutes.

 

Serves 4 to 6.
