Chicken David

Chicken David Recipe 

I changed the name of this recipe to Chicken David, because my son, David, loves it so much.  All of the kids love them!

 

 

3 to 4
boneless, skinned chicken breast halves
1-1/2 to 2
cups buttermilk
2
cups flour
Vegetable Oil
Salt, pepper

 

 

Cut chicken breasts into strips, 1/2" x 2".  Dip chicken in buttermilk and then in flour.  Heat oil to 375° in skillet.  Cook chicken until brown, approximately 5 minutes; don’t overcrowd skillet, do several batches.  Cooked batches can be kept warm in 200° oven.  Season with salt and pepper before serving. 

 

Serves 4 to 5

 

Good with rice or mashed potatoes and gravy..
