Green Chile Sauce with Meat


pound lean ground beef or cubed pork
cup chopped green chile
teaspoon onion salt
teaspoon garlic salt
cup flour or cornstarch
1 1/4
cups water




Brown meat, remove excess fat.  Add chopped chile and salts.  Prepare a gravy paste by mixing flour and 1/4 cup water; pour in 1 cup water and add to meat mixture, stir well.  Simmer 10 to 15 minutes.  Makes 1 Quart.



For Burrito Supreme,  Spread 1/4 cup sauce along outer edge of flour tortilla, sprinkle with grated longhorn cheese and diced onion.


Roll jelly-roll style or into thirds.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Smother with extra chile sauce.  Garnish with lettuce, guacamole, tomato wedges and extra cheese and onion.
