Linda’s Favorite Granola

This is my favorite recipe for granola.  It is easy to make and the ingredients are easy to find in any grocery store.  It is not low calorie, but it is yummy!

2
cups old-fashioned oats
1
cup shredded coconut
1/2
cup wheat germ
1 1/2
cups chopped almonds or walnuts
1
teaspoon salt
1
14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1/4
cup vegetable oil
1 1/2
cups raisins

Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts, and salt in a large bowl.  Stir in condensed milk.  Add oil and mix thoroughly.  Spread mixture into parchment or foil lined large baking pan.  Bake in 300 degree oven, stirring occasionally about 1 hour or until golden.  Remove from oven and stir in raisins while still warm.  Store in a tightly covered container.

Makes 8 cups.
