Italian Bread Crumbs

pound dry bread crumbs
1/2
cup chopped fresh parsley

garlic cloves, finely minced or 1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 1/2
teaspoons salt
1
teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1
cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

 

In a bowl mix together all ingredients.  These crumbs are used for stuffings and breading meat (pork chops, veal, etc.)  Dip meat in slightly beaten egg, coat with bread crumbs and fry to golden brown in olive oil.
