Linda’s Croutons

loaf artisan bread, day old
1/3
cup extra virgin olive oil
2
teaspoons Penzey's Sandwich Sprinkle seasoning (crouton seasoning)
1/4
cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cut day old bread into 1-inch cubes.  Place cubes in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag.  Mix olive oil and Sandwich Sprinkle seasoning.  Pour into bag.   Close bag and shake until oil covers all of the bread.  Pour out onto a parchment lined quarter sheet pan.  Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until brown and crisp.  Let cool. 

 

Makes 1 quart.
