Oriental Cole Slaw

cup vegetable oil
1/3
cup vinegar

tablespoons sugar

tablespoons soy sauce

teaspoon ginger

teaspoon celery seed
1
small head red cabbage, shredded (about 4 cups) or half red and half green
1
small onion, chopped or 4 green onions, chopped
1/2
cup chow mein noodles

 

 

Combine oil, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, ginger and celery seed.  Add cabbage and onion.  Refrigerate. 

 

Just before serving, mix in chow mein noodles
