Garden Sandwich

 

 

Pumpernickel bread
basil mayonnaise or regular mayonnaise
Thin sliced dill Havarti cheese
Sliced avocado
Asparagus spears
Alfalfa sprouts
Sliced tomato
Sliced ;peeles cucumber, preferably hothouse type

 

 

Lightly steam asparagus and cool in ice water; pat dry.  Spread bread with mayonnaise, top with cheese, avocado, asparagus spears, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, cucumber and another slice of bread.  Cut in half. 

 

Serve immediately.
