Linda's Chili

 

This is my quick recipe for Chili.  You need the Ranch Style beans to make it right.  I often double the recipe when I make it.  Like all chili, it is great the next day.

pound ground beef

onion, chopped

clove garlic, minced

16-ounce can diced tomatoes with juice

16-ounce cans Ranch Style beans

16-ounce can drained Kidney Beans (Optional)

tablespoon chili powder or to taste (Gebhardt's is my favorite brand)

teaspoons ground cumin
Salt, pepper to taste

 

 

 

Brown ground beef in skillet.  Drain off fat.  Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is soft.  Add remaining ingredients.  Heat to boiling and simmer for 20 minutes or longer.

 

When serving garnish with Cheddar Cheese and chopped onions if desired. 

 

Serves 4.
