Oven Bean Soup

cups water

16-ounce package navy beans,k washed and sorted

large stalks celery, diced

mediium carrots, diced
1
large onion, minced
1
pound cooked ham,. cut in small cubes
1
ham bone (optional)
1
8-ounce can tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

 

Place all ingredients in 4-quart ovenproof pan with tight fitting lid.  Cover and bake at 325° for 3 to 4 hours. 

 

Yield:  4 to 6 servings.
