Acorn Squash

Water
1/4
cup butter
1/4
cup brown sugar
Cinnamon, nutmeg

 

 

 

Cut squash in half lengthwise.  Scoop out seeds and stringy pulp.  Place cut side down on a cookie sheet.  Pour about 1/4 inch of water in the cookie sheet around the squash.  Place in 350 degree oven and bake for 45 minutes.

 

After 45 minutes, take the cookie sheet out of the oven and turn the squash over.  Place 1 tablespoon butter and 2 tablespoons brown sugar in each squash half. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.  Bake for 15 more minutes. 

 

Serves 4.
