Baked Beans

28 ounce can pork and beans (I like Van Camp's)

slices bacon
1
medium onion, diced
1/2
cup brown sugar
1/4
cup catsup
1
tablespoon prepared mustard (French’s)

 

 

Brown bacon in skillet.  Remove bacon and crumble.  In remaining fat, cook onion until soft.  Add beans, brown sugar, catsup, and mustard.  Mix in crumbled bacon.  Bake in 350° oven for 40 minutes. 

 

Makes 6 servings.

 

Optional Method:

 

Cook in 10" Dutch Oven at 325- 350 degrees for one hour.
