Lawry's Creamed Spinach

10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach

bacon slices, finely chopped
1/2
cup finely chopped onion

tablespoons flour

teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1/4
teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Pepper
1
clove garlic, minced
1
cup milk

 

 

Cook spinach according to package directions but do not add salt; drain well.  Fry bacon and onions together until onions are tender, about 10 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Add flour, Seasoned Salt, Seasoned Pepper and garlic.  Blend thoroughly.  Slowly add milk return to heat and stir until thickened.  Add spinach and mix thoroughly. 

 

Makes 4 servings.

 

Note:  One bunch chopped, cooked fresh spinach may be used.  Use 1/4 teaspoon Lawry's Garlic Powder with Parsley instead of the garlic clove, if desired.  When using fresh garlic, either mince or crush with garlic press.
