Lemon Parsley Turnips

medium fresh turnips

tablespoon butter
2
teaspoons snipped parsley

teaspoon finely chopped green onion
1
teaspoon lemon juice

 

 

 

Peel and cut turnips into 2-inch strips, julienne style.  Cook in small amount of salted water until tender, about 10 minutes.  Drain.  Add butter, parsley, onion, and lemon juice.  Toss. 

 

Makes 6 servings.
