Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetables

ounces Napa cabbage
4
ounces baby corn
4
ounces broccoli
1
large or 2 small carrots
4
tablespoons vegetable oil
1
teaspoon salt
1
teaspoon light brown sugar
Chicken broth or water, if necessary
1
tablespoon light soy sauce
Few drops of sesame oil (optional)

 

 

Cut the Napa cabbage into thick slices.  Cut the baby corn lengthwise, if wished.  Separate the broccoli into florets and slice the carrots diagonally.

 

Heat the oil in a wok, add the Napa cabbage, corn, broccoli, and carrots and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.

 

Add the salt and sugar, and a little broth or water, if necessary, so the vegetables do not dry out, and continue stirring for another minute.  Add the soy sauce and sesame oil, if using.  Blend well into the vegetable mixture and serve immediately.
